Of all the rivers in the Croatian Karst, the most beautiful is without doubt the river Krka. This is the area of extreme beauty and aesthetic value: it includes more ecosystems that have been preserved or somewhat changed and the area along the Krka river. It is intended primarily for scientific, cultural, educational, recreational,  and tourism activities such as visiting National park Krka and sightseeing. With its seven travertine waterfalls and a total drop of 242 meters, the Krka River is a natural and karstic phenomenon.

Of the numerous waterfalls, the most beautiful ones are the Skradin and Roški cascades. Between these cascades is a section of the river that forms a lake, on which is the small islet Visovac which hosts an attractive Franciscan monastery.

8:00 – departure from Šibenik

9:00 - walk by the Skradinski buk and the decorated bridges where the visitors are in touch with the water of the river Krka, sightseeing the mills and their contents like ethnological collection and demonstration of old crafts.

13:00 - We are coming to Roški waterfall where you have few options: to hike Ozđana pećina Cave, to swim in the river or to enjoy local food at a tavern running by a local family. You have 2 hours free time, so you can spend it as you want.

15:00 – We leave the Roški slap and we visit the biggest waterfall on the north of the National park Manojlovac and Roman amphitheater Burnum. At the end of the tour, we visit the Monastery of St. Archangels - Krka Monastery with catacombs beneath the earth.

16:30 – we are back in front of Šibenik plus (optionally another place on request).

Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft recommended to readers of the Forbes magazine to take a holiday to Croatia. Forbes has asked its readers where they would spend their holidays and to make the choices easier they asked a number of billionaires where they would go.  Bill Gates of all the countries decided on Croatia. Microsoft owner Bill Gates and his wife Melinda and family visited the National Park Krka and Skradin last year. He first visited Croatia in 2004. A representative of the Skradin tourist board told reporters from Forbes that “Gates enjoyed strolling the streets and visiting local restaurants.”
